David Basto
Managing Partner
David Basto is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Vantage Equity Partners. Prior to co-founding Vantage, David was a Partner at The Carlyle Group, serving most recently as head of the Consumer, Media and Retail team.
During his eight years at Carlyle, David led or was a key contributor to a number of Carlyle investments including: Arctic Glacier, Compana Pet Brands, Every Man Jack, Manna Pro Products, Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning, and PurposeBuilt Brands.
Prior to joining Carlyle, David was a Founding Partner of Broad Sky Partners, a sector-focused private equity firm. Prior to co-founding Broad Sky, David was with MidOcean Partners and its predecessor, DB Capital Partners for 15 years, most recently as Managing Director, Co-Head of MidOcean's consumer sector investing team, and member of the investment committee. Previously, David worked in investment banking, focused on mergers & acquisitions.
David received his B.A. in History from the University of Virginia.
Andrew Eggert
Partner
Andrew Eggert is a Partner and Co-Founder of Vantage Equity Partners. Prior to co-founding Vantage, Andrew was a senior investment professional at The Carlyle Group, serving on Carlyle's flagship North America Buyout Fund. During his tenure at Carlyle, Andrew was a key contributor to a number of Carlyle investments, including: Beautycounter, Every Man Jack, Jagex, and Medforth.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Andrew was a Vice President at Crestview Partners, a New York-based private equity firm, and an Associate at Madison Dearborn Partners. Previously, Andrew worked in investment banking at Morgan Stanley, focused on mergers & acquisitions.
Andrew received his MBA from Harvard Business School and B.B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame.
Jason Lee
Principal
Jason Lee is a Principal at Vantage Equity Partners. Prior to joining Vantage, Jason was an investor and advisor focused on the consumer sector, working closely with founders at a number of investment firms and consumer packaged goods companies, including: Transformational Capital, Pure Simple Foods and Ethel’s Baking Company.
Previously, Jason worked in investment banking at Barclays Capital focused on transactions in the Technology, Media and Telecom sectors. Jason began his career at Citigroup focused on Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions and Financial Planning & Analysis.
Jason received his B.B.A., magna cum laude, from CUNY Baruch College.
Pat Radlowski
Vice President
Pat Radlowski is a Vice President at Vantage Equity Partners. Prior to joining Vantage, Pat spent two years at BayHawk Capital, serving on the business services team. During his tenure at BayHawk, Pat was a key contributor to several BayHawk investments and subsequent add-on acquisitions, including over 10 assets across the ServiceMaster Restore and Two Men and a Truck franchise ecosystems.
Prior to joining BayHawk, Pat spent three years at Siris Capital, a tech-focused New York-based private equity firm. Previously, Pat worked in investment banking at Lazard, focused on mergers & acquisitions.
Pat received his MBA from Harvard Business School and B.S., magna cum laude, from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Vantage’s network of Operating Advisors have decades of operating experience at the most senior levels within their industries. Our Operating Advisors have worked with the Vantage principals often for many years and are experts in their relevant categories. The Vantage team works closely with our relevant Operating Advisors on investment opportunities, helping with due diligence, value creation plan formation and then helping drive value in our investments as either board members, advisors and, in select cases, as operating management.
